clutch chatter..?

i had heard kevlar clutches were bad for chatter, but mine has been a little crazy unless you just about dump it from a stop. until now i thought it had been because of the torque arm not being bolted in properly, but now that problem is fixed (havent picked the car up yet but was told by the shop the vibration when pulling out is still there) so is clutch chatter really so bad to cause the whole car to shake violently pulling out if trying to slip it?? it doesnt bother me in the least i just hate the sound of it and the reactions othe rppl have to it.. and reverse is worse. anybody else ever had this problem with a really grabby clutch? --- Zoom performance Kevlar clutch is what im running. on a side note the clutch is a charm at the track and goin through the gears! 1-2 shift is just like my auto, u dont wanna be in it hard haha

Re: clutch chatter..?

is it a puck clutch, because if so then they will chatter badly. Thay will get a little better once broken in, just like any other clutch, but will always chatter. My stage 3 chatters very baddly because its a 6 puck clutch.

Re: clutch chatter..?

it is a puck style clutch, and ive noticed it isnt NEARLY as bad as it was now with the TA mount fixed. though its still noticeable, and it definately calms down as i drive more and the clutch heats up i guess. i can definately live with it now though much better than before. so now i give this clutch a thumbs up! lol.
