If you don't plan on exceeding 400 hp, I'd just go with the LS6 clutch. You can get the whole setup rather cheap. I think mine was a little over $300. However, if you plan on modding your car beyond that mark or think you'll ever run a sticky tire, I'd recommend Spec or McLeod. Both companies have different levels to suit your needs and I've heard nothing but good things about them. Just my .02

It's all a matter of what kind of driving you do and where you want the friction to be.
I do almost all street driving on 295 rear tires. The Z06 clutch I have has never slipped. And like SSpd said, it's pretty cheap.
If you're going to get into drag racing, then the Z06 clutch is going to have a limited life.
Ask yourself what you want to do with the car and then make a decision.

I had a Ram clutch in my C5 and it held great, but it was a little grabbier than the stock clutch. It was a tradeoff I was willing to make. But it held like a mother...

I've never heard anything about them breaking. Maybe if they were not installed properly. It really is a gorilla of a clutch...very heavy duty. I beat the hell out of mine and it just takes it like a champ.

The Stage III is pretty much overkill for any street car. I couldn't imagine how ridiculous the Stage IV would be. Is your car strictly a track car?

Daily driver and a occasional track run. Like one or 2 times a year.
