Cheapest 12 bolt out there?

I am planning on swapping out my 7.5 for a 12 bolt the only real option I need for now is the ABS compatability, but everywhere is asking arouns 2200$ for one, are there any cheaper?

If you want to keep ABS, you best bet would be to wait for a GP on one or get a used one. It’ll be hard to get a new one for cheaper than $2000 w/ ABS.

You might be better off to have a custom 9" Ford made for your car. I know around where I live there is a place called Curry Enterprises that will custom fit a 9" for around $1600...just something to consider

I was thinking something similar. You could pull a rearend out of a Ford F250 at a junkyard or something, then just shorten the axle tubes and order gears and axles from Strange or something. That would be a lot of fab work (that could be a pro or con depending on your personality), but it would be the least expensive.

A Ford 9" would be good, of course. I think you would need to have your driveshaft shortened, but Currie probably already makes the housing to fit your car.

9" or 12 Bolt Option for youcar new will both be around 2200 or so new from either moser/strange.. Haven't dealt w/ currie.. SO i have no idea bout the 1600.00 one.. But worth a shot as they do make good stuff.. you can usually find a used 12 bolt for sale here and there for about 1500-2K

Billingsley Racing makes a bare rear end for $899. You'd still need axles and gears, but this look pretty hardcore. Its definitely something I'll be looking into when I have the money for rears. HERE is a link to Billingsley's website.
