Cheap clutch Ideas
So I am finishing the build up on my 383 and need a clutch. The stock flywheel has some minor hot spots and would need to be balanced and resurfaced. So im thinking about just getting an aftermarket flywheel, namely a SPEC billet.
I was also looking at clutches and someone pointed out that all aftermarket PP are made by the same company that makes stockers (Valeo) and that the main diff is in the disc. Would it work to keep my stock PP (40k miles) and just get a McLeod Performance Disc and call it a day?
That would be a full assembly for $360 which uses the stock PP. Would you think that it could hold ~430 rwhp?

Ive broken the springs in the center hub out of 2 mcleod disks. I was probably < 330 HP at the wheels. A lot of people have had good luck with them but not me.
Next clutch for me is the Spec stg 4.
