Carrier stuck??

Carrier stuck??

Allright heres the deal i have the axles hanging out i have the pin out and the caps off, but carrier refuses to come out. i have beat and bang and pryed, and it will not come out. I have done this several times and never incountered this. Am i missing something? What do i need to do to get it out?

There's nothing else that's holding it, so I guess keep prying? I'd say there was probably too much preload on the carrier bearings!?

A trick i learned, if you wedge something in the carrier and against the housing so the carrier cant turn, then spin the pinion in the reverse direction (i think its counter-clockwise) the angle of the teeth will force the carrier out. Hard to explane but trust me works great! Good Luck!

What do i need to wedge in there? if i do wedge something want that jus make it tighter? it has me puzzled.
