car won't take off

car won't take off

I own a 1993 3.4 camaro. Idk whats wrong. When your at a stop light and go to take off it barely goes, but once it's going it drives fine. Is this the transmission or rear end going out? Please help Thanks

Generally, it would be either: 1) a slipping transmission (press thge throttle and engine RPM climbs, but the car goes nowhere); or 2) an engine in need of a tuneup (pushing the throttle does not cause the RPM to rise, the engine just stumbles). Which are you experiencing?

Doesn't sound like a problem related to the rear end.

I'm assuming you have an automatic trannsmission.

Check your tranny fluid level?
