car shaking!?

im looking to buy a car, and it has a rebuilt "truck 350 engine in it. The car is a 1988 Camaro Iroc, and the truck used is unknown. when i turn the car on and give it a little gas, it shakes pretty bad. He said it was fine when the original 305 was in it, but ever since he put the 350 in it shakes. I believe it has to do with the amount of torque not being able to be handled by the rear end. How can i find out what rear end i need, and what other things do i have to replace to stop the shaking. please help

Is this occurring when you're driving, or just revving in neutral?

It could be that the new engine is using the old 305 crank balancer, but that's just a wild guess.
