like the title said I have a t-56 trans and this is the 2nd time I have broke it and I was wandering what would be a good auto trans to put in. One of my friends said he would trade me his 700r4 and the tq converter for mine the way it is with my clutch and flywheel. It is out of a 3rd gen camaro and it has a shift kit in it. I know I would have to put a manual valve body in it but what elese would I need other that the ovious.

Or would it be better to get a completly different trans all together and what would it be.

my transmisition pops out of third everynow and then and revers is almost not there at all

 

would I need a new crossmember if os would the bmr Powerglide/TH350 LT1 Conversion(93-97) on work

 

I am interested in buyuing your broke T56.

im getting ready to do a 4l60e to t-56 swap in my 95 z and would sell you my trans if youre interested. it needs to be rebuilt.
