This is on a 01 3.8 5 speed. Stupid bolts on this car-some appear to be metric, some not...Case in point, oil pan bolts are 3/8 NOT 10mm and the flywheel bolts are 9/16 instead of 14mm. Well, my dumba$$ tried to use a 14 mm socket assuming all bolts on "modern" cars are metric, and got a socket stuck on one of the bolts. I was using an impact, and I tightened it up and kept tightening it hoping it would jar loose from the bolt. Nope. Broke it. So it appears to me with the amount of bolts on the back of this thing (8) that 7 should work. What do you think? Changing a clutch should not involve this much thought.

I would not run anything on the flywheel or clutch without all the proper bolts.

Bolt came right out luckily...Found a similar one in my parts bucket so it should be all good now.

I hope it's identical. Lower power does not mean you need less strength in the attachments. High stakes to gamble with flywheel attachment - those are the highest-stressed fasteners on your car, in shear anyway. Proper torque & locktite required, too.
