Just curious, thanks
Exactly! If anyone knows ANYTHING about automatic transmissions, they don't use them. Heck, even when we built racing TH350's and 400's that originally came with them, we quickly realized they were unreliable with big cams or forced induction. This made it neccessary to go with a manual valve body. We remove vacuum modulators from toasted units all the time.
But, what do we know? We actually BUILD the transmission we advertise We don't send someone a box of parts and let them build it themselves...LOL.
I guess that is a good marketing scheme, though. "Well the box of junk I sent you was fine"..."You must've put it together wrong".

Good one Frank, I suspected as much. You knew that I could not answer this any other way. I got to hand it to you on that one. Just make sure when you sit in your office chair leaning back with your arms folded behind your head gloating, not to fall backwards, as I would not want your head to swell any larger than it is now!!!
I knew there would be the day you were bound to come across one of my units with a problem, and I would come across one of yours. I wasn't worried, concerned that the customer should have brought it back to me to get fixed, yes, but not worried. But I still stand on what I say about these units. You have to admit that whose ever transmission (with a problem) you would ever take apart, are you going to change your way of building??? you would not give it a second thought.... No good builder ever has, because he believes in what he is doing. Now to vacuum modulators that you say "dont work". I guess you never heard of Pontaic Ram air III & IV GTO? SD455? Oldsmobile W-30? Buick stage 1? Chevrolet LS5 & 6's? Chevrolet 396/375HP? 427/425 & 435HP? Ford 351 W & C? 390GTA? 428CJ? 429SCJ? etc. I guess all of these got by you.... But, then again what does GM & Ford know....
The problems with the vacuum modulators if any was the rupturing of
the diaphram, not common though. You can build them without vacuum modulators, but this made them very hard on the front pump gears and sealing rings, seen it many times on teardowns. The time we had problems with the vacuum modulators was when the carburetor was too small cfm wise, this would create vacuum at the WOT shift points, and the shifts would soften. I never had the problems with big cams as was stated.
We had plenty of Art Carr, B&M, TCI & other full manual (no vacuum
modulators) transmissions come in the shop because of drivability complaints, to have that "stuff" removed and replaced with vacuum modulated setups. Now they had much better street manners, and the transmission shifted like it was supposed too. And by the way, we had plenty of 9, 10 & 11 second street driven vehicles 10 to 25 years ago using vacuum modulators. You accomplished one thing here, to keep improving at what I am doing.
Oh, by the way where do you think that those oversized 2nd & 4th gear servos came from??? Hmmm.....

Thankfully most of our other (smarter) board members are capable of using the "search" feature here. Doing so will make it obvious that you're full of crap.
You have exactly 3 posts here, and 2 of them were trying to sell a "black market" transmission.
I claim to be "the best" based on our work.

I also answer more tech questions in the drivetrain section more than any other vendor.

If you choose to buy / build junk, that's up to you.

Do us all a favor, don't make statements unless you've got something to back them up.

BTW, you've already been exposed as another transmission builders, who's advertising here without being a vendor. I can assure you, you're "in the wrong yard"..BACK OFF!

He also posted on LS1TECH pretending to be one of our customers an claiming he bought a trans and it died in 800 miles and we refused to fix it , We have never refused a warranty to anyone ever for any reason. He got permanently banned from there, We know it was him because while he had already been put on restricted user status as "1BAD408" he re registered as "performabuiltsucks" and posted everywhere as mentioned above but the IP address for both users were a match.
He did have the entire text of our website copied on his ebay ad along with PBA stuff to , He has since removed ours and I think PBA is working to make him remove theres also.
The goal seems to be to attempt to defame the reputable builders while bringing attention to himself which is defiantly the wrong way to attract business or to get yourself a good name.
We have already acquired his name address phone number IP address which is a fixed
Just FYI for anyone interested

Thats bull****!!! I hate people that do that kinda thing. It ends up screwing honest people like me. I've been had before from he same kinda thing. Just put it this way, I'm on my 6th 700R4. Hopefully this one lasts, if not I'm going with a vendor from here. People claim this and claim that but bottom line is look at feedback. If they don't have any they are probably lying to you. Anybody can build a race transmission, but making it reliable, that's the hard part. You guys have done that and people are trying to steal from you.

BAN ALL POSERS!!!!!

We have looked into legal however have decided at this time unless we experience any additional problems not to pursue them. But are keeping the information on file and watching carefully.
