Best clutch/flywheel set up
Best clutch/flywheel set up
Well, after doing extensive reading on the different clutch options I still haven't found information i'm looking for.
Well the I have a 96 LT1 powered car. M6.
Right now it has a autozone lifetime warranty duralast clutch in it. Its definitely going to need to be replaced.
So my plan was to take the clutch and pressure plate out and take it back to autozone for a brand new pressure plate and disc.
Then I was going to just buy a different disc to meet my needs better.
I plan to keep the stock flywheel.
Mods:
CAI, Bored TB, Ported Intake, Long tubes, Flashed ECU, 1.6 Roller rockers, 160 thermostat, hurst short shifter.
So which disc would be best? (keeping in mind its a stock rear end), its a daily driver, and I barely beat on my cars.
I hear the spec 2+ might be the best option. Any input on this?

I'm kinda in the same boat except I'm getting ready to put in my 383 and I went to Valeo's website and brought an LT4 clutch for $288 and I'm going to buy a SPEC 3+ disc, I'm also going to get the McLeod blowshield for the LT1 T56.
