B&M Shifter Stops

My new B&M Shifter instuctions say that through racing development as well as the original engineering design team it's been determined that shift stops on Borg Warner T56 are not needed. They also plan to phase them out.

However my kit still came with the shift stops and in the instructions after that above part it says, "however, if your driving style requires the stops this is how to install them".

So my question is do I even need to install the stops or is everyone leaving them out?

Thanks,

Chris
