B&m Shift Kit

I had a shop put in a shift kit for my 1996 z and there is no noticable change in the performance. We went with the stage II for street/strip and nothing changed any ideas. When you put the car in drive from park there seems to be more pressure than before.
Thanks

If you have been doing city driving, try using the gas peddle a little bit harder so you can feel the shifts. Make it shift at higher RPM. Also, try taking your car on the freeway and let it go through the gears, also at a higher RPM. Listen for any noises and feel any vibrations. Just pay closer to your tranny now that you have this shiftkit. I hear these kits may have problems..but it all depends whos's installing em.

I have this kit. I set it on the hardest shifting setting I could. If you can't feel any diference either you got taken and your B&M kit didn't get installed, or something is seriously wrong. My trans shifted so hard I had Brian at PCMforless program it for lower line pressure at part throttle so my head wouldn't get snapped off on the 1-2 shift

Also, what do you mean by more pressure in gear after you shift from park?

b&m shift kits suck that why u cant feel any difference. get a trans go and have it put on stage 3. i had this set up on my mustang and at normal driving it u wont feel too much but at wide open throttle i could not only chirp the tires from 1-2, but from 2-3 as well, and i had a 94 mustang and those have way less power than these lt1's.

have you ever owned/ridden in/driven an LT1 car with a B&M shiftkit in it? Not the electronic shift improver kit, but the shiftkit.

I got it out on the road and ran some higher rpms and there is a difference but not what I was expecting. Would having the trans reprogramed with this kit make it shift a little harder?

When I put the car in drive from park it seems to go in gear a little harder than before.

I have a friend that put the B&M kit is his 95 Z28 and it shifts extremely hard. I have the TransGo in mine though and I really like it, definitely a noticeable difference.

I got stage 2 B&M and I got neck snapping shifts. I mean hard shifts. I already broke a tranny mount. I garuntee nobody can shift as fast as my tranny. I can also get a 3rd patch/chirp but I also have bald tires.

Since were talking about these kits....I actually have a B&M shift kit sitting in my garage and I have not installed it yet. I was afraid of having my transmission blow out after a few thousand miles. I have seen several posts of failed trannys after install. My tranny has no slips and runs like a champ at over 100K miles. So what can I do to my tranny to prolong life with shift kit besides not slamming on the pedal..ha ha! Several months ago I did a tranny flush and I'm still running good. Anything I should replace or add to tranny so the kit doesnt blow my trans?

Thanks!
