B&M Hammer Installaion Question

I'm finally getting around to putting in my B&M Hammer in my 95 convertible (which is one of those bastardized CA models that actually has dual cats and some other '96 things, but w/o OBD-II) and I was wondering if/how you attach the little electric unit on the right side of the stock shifter (has the number 50231 on it, bolted to right side of the shifter, has multiple different wires and a plastic piece that moves w/the gear selector lever). Any tips would be appreciated. FYI I did spend some time using the 'search' here but didn't turn up anything real helpful.

Thanks in advance...

Not really sure what it is for, so I don't want to chime in and then sound like an asshat or give you the wrong info, so I'll leave this one up to the guys that have done this install b4.

I find it's hard to believe that your car doesn't have obdII. I was under the impression that all 95 model cars had the OBDII system, only w/an OBDI connector under the dash, if so, that's pretty odd.

Well, anyways, at least this will go back to the top.

I think it's the other way around, OBDII connector but really OBD1. I forget which cable I bought (it was a few years ago) but FreeScan reads the PCM, so that implies OBDI. Either that or I got one hell of a whacky car (which wouldn't be surprising!).

I think you may be right about the connector/obdII/obdI thing. Sorry, just woke up and had a brain fart, kinda got them backwards. LoL My bad. Sorry, I knew this at one time but guess I got it mixed up/backwards. Well, good luck w/the shifter install, I'll let you know if I find out anything.

Hey no problem, I appreciate the responses!! Hopefully I'll get this install all done by this weekend, things keep popping up that I need to take care of first. :/
