If you don't mind revving incredibly high and spending more for gas theres no real reason not to aside from the fact that the gear won't be as strong.

the TH350 has no overdrive correct?

i'm not sure what the top gear is, but if it's 1:1 than you should be running around 3500rpm at 75mph

4.10s would make you run 4000rpm

that's crazy, even at 55 you'll be at 3000.

how is your traction right now? cause if you can't launch with 3.73s, you'll never launch with 4.10s.

Do you go to the track? What's the redline on the engine? What are your trap speeds right now? What size tires are you running? How close are you to red line when you cross the finish line?

I run 4.10's with a (no overdrive) TH400. It was running close to 4,000rpm at 70mph with street tires (25.7"). Not a lot of fun to drive for long periods of time.

And finally.... moving to "Drivetrain".

car doesn't see the highway anymore. just a weekend driver. i do race it at the track, buts it's only an 1/8 mile track. car redlines at 6500 rpms. at it hooks great right now. whole drivetrain is built. tranny has the bigger drum and spraq i believe first gear is 1to1. has an eaton posi. on the street i run 26.5 tires. at the track i run 28. the car right now at 60 is running roughly around 2800 to 3000 rpm
