Anyone use braided steel line for tranny cooler??

I was thinking about upgrading to braided steel line for the tranny cooler. The only problem is how I am going to use it with my tranny cooler bc it is the hose slip fit and clamp type. Anyone ever done this before??

I know that on my cooler (B&M) I removed the fitting that came with it and got some adapter fittings at the Auto parts store that have threading on both sides you can thred a braided tline on it, check AZ or advanced they should have it.

Yeah I just changed over all my lines. I can custom make braided lines with a few borrowed tools from work. First I changed out the fittings in the trans with 5an 45* male. then I ran the out to my remote trans filter then to the top factory cooler connection. I used a piece of 5/16" steel brake line and bent a 90 in it. stuck 1 end into the stock cooler, the other I cut and reflared. Then I stuck it into the old fittings that came out of the trans. Thoe trans fittings convert 5/16" flare to 3/8" pipe. tossed a 3/8 union and a 5an fitting on the end to mate with the new braided line.

I hope I am making sense here, if not I can get some pics this weekend and send em to you.

From the bottom of the factory cooler I did the same thing as the top. used the 5/16" steel brake line and bent it to the right angles and cut it to length. flared the ends and made up another gender bender fitting with the other old trans fitting. I did however order and new B&M cooler with 1/2" pipe eneds. I stuck some reducers and 5an male fittings in there too. Connected it up and out the bottom of the B&M went back to the trans with braided SS line.
