Anybody with Yank 3200 or Yank 3600? Need some advice...

Can anybody with a Yank 3200 or Yank 3600 tell me how they would drive around town for a daily driver? I'm going with and LE2 heads/cam package for my daily driver 383. I'm trying to decide between a Yank 3200 and Yank 3600. I've been told that the Yank and Vig converters drive around like a much milder stall until you nail it. I have a Hughes 2500 now and I'm trying to determine how much different these stalls would act around town than what I'm used to? I don't want to feel really heavy slip when just driving it around because that might get on my nerves. This car will rarely, if ever, see the track so I'm not concerned about making the decision solely based on which one would give me a slightly better ET....more concerned about manners around town. Can anybody give me a good testimonial?

Thanks in advance!

Robert

Robert, It seems like I've stated this a lot lately, but it seems worth repeating. So for the guys that have read this already bear or (beer) with me. I put in a Vig 2800 with the same gears as yours, 3.23. At first it seemed a bit much but soon got use to it. Then I threw in a set of 3.73 gears and I couldn't believe how much it made it feel almost stock again, until you hit the gas. I was seriously thinking about going with a 3600 stall to improve my track times, but I will be picking up a nitrous kit in a couple of weeks and will have to see what kind of RPM I'm turning at the finish before making a decision on what kind of stall is needed.
With that said, if I were you, a 2800 would be the smallest to go with. If you want to put some 3.73s in, go with a 3200, and if you do want to get a little crazy and have some fun at the track, get a 3600. That is providing you have a way to find some traction. Just my 2 cents.

Z,

Thanks for the helpful info. So are you saying if I stick with my 3.23 gears for now, which is my plan, 3200 would be too much for daily driving ?
