Any one know good aftermarket auto Trans?

Re: Any one know good aftermarket auto Trans?
We don't neccessarilly build an "aftermarket" transmission. We use what GM gives us to work with and modify and improve on it. A properly built 4L60E can be built to take quite a bit of abuse. We've got them in cars running 11.0 @ 124 MPH, on 175 shot of NX.

Don't take it to "Billy Bobs Transmission Repair" lol ...get a solid rebuilt one like I am gonna do if mine goes, when it goes, whatever...there are guys right here on this forum that won't steer you wrong , that will stand behind their product and work, and know what they are talking about...I have read enough to have put my mind at ease about the 4L60E in my car and I know that the 4L60E can be a great transmission if you throw a few bucks at it.

Re: Any one know good aftermarket auto Trans?
I just had mine built by Frank at CPT. Actually since I live so close, Frank was kind enough to invite me down to his shop to help him build mine. I have to say that I was really impressed at the knowledge Frank has of the 4L60E. He pointed out several weak areas and showed me side by side comparison of various parts and components that will make a 4L60E hold up the the abuse I am going to throw at it this year. I could sit here for hours and tell you about the new sun shell, differences in bushings, pump spring, valve body springs, billet servos's, placement of checkballs, seperator plate modifications, the importance of proper clearance in the different clutch packs, different clutch materials, and on and on and on... But I even saw how import it is on chosing the proper seals and O rings... Frank is on the ball when it comes to a 4L60E. I would highly recommend him.
BTW, Frank I just heard from Yank and my converter will be here this week. No problems found with the stator splines. Infact all they did was clean it, restall it, and send it back. Everything else was in good shape. I'll have it running sometime next week I hope.

Im actually still waiting to get it back. It should be here tomorrow. $285 to restall from 3500 to 4000. All internals are replaced on a restall so its basically like a new converter.

I am in the middle of changing my set up now. But really all I have done is dump weight and move some weight. CPT trans and bumped the converter to 4000. The suspension is still the same. Only aftermarket parts are CE rear shocks and Spohn LCA's.
