Any chance of using '90 4L60E 4x4 in '95 Firebird?

I've searched, but you can imagine '90 4L60E from a C1500/4x4 truck -> 95 is not a common question.

Can anything be done to retrofit this? I have both transmissions so if it's small things like swapping the tailhousing then I can easily do that.

I don't have a clue if ODBI/II will be an issue and if anything else may come up...

TIA!

From a 1990 it's going to be a 700r4/4L60 with no electronic controls. As far as I knew the 700r4 and 4L60E were the same external size and interchangeable....but that may only be for one's from fbodies.

So, in short......it wont hook up to the PCM....if it even fits.

Yup...As already stated...The 1990 transmission is a 700R4, the '95 uses a 4L60E, plus the output shafts are different.
