Another spec III bites the dust

Hey, i was dreading this day but i went to the track and finally toasted my spec stage III. As i thought 5 out of the 6 springs were broke and the flywheel and pressure place are all chewed up to ****. This was suppose to be the revised design, installed it maybe 1.5-2 years ago and put about 15k of day to day driving and maybe 40 track runs on DR's. Time to call spec tomorrow to see what they can do for me, any advice?

Give them a call. If they think it was premature wear then they might cut you a break. Im about to send my SPEC4 back for a rebuild "if" the pressure plate isnt to rough. Ive gotten about 40-45,000 out of mine. And they werent easy by no means. And with 3.23 gears that wasnt too good on the clutch. It only slipped once power shifting into 4th, but Im about to install a 9inch and put some slicks on it. So I know it wont hold up to that in its current condition.

man....these are the EXACT reasons i went for the spec 4 in my Z.

it's a little rough in stop and go...but i'm glad i don't have to worry about busted center sections

Re: Another spec III bites the dust

yea i know, i got the III before the 4 was the new craze instead of the 3. I sent them pictures and since it has like 10k on it they say they can't do much, about 400 for a stage 4 but i need a new flywheel too because the spring fragments got in the clutch and f'd my flywheel surface up bad, i'm pretty pissed with their service, i thought they were suppose to be good about this kind of thing??????
