adjusting stops on the Pro 5.0 shifter
Shift to first, adjust the top point So there's the slightest little gap.. Shift to 2nd, adjust the botom point so theirs teh slightest little gap.. shift to 3rd, and if more travel is needed, adjust it.. shift to 4th and if more travel is needed, adjust it.. etc..
prob won't hurt to use some threadlock to make sure they don't move.

I may have been given bad advice, but I was told to shift into the gear adjust until it touches and go 1/4 turn more. I was told this is to prevent "overshifting" under hard throws which may lead to bent forks (since ours are aluminum). Like I said, I am not a tranny expert or anything but that is what I was told by a guy at the track.
Yup, thats exactly what I did... except that I didn't want it to rattle/vibrate, so I gave it just a hair of a gap. plus you want to make sure that in each gear, you gave enough travel. Since there are only two stops, you have to pick the best out of the 3 gears for each.
heh, i figure worse comes to worse, I'll just bend the shiftfork that extra millimeter.
some poeple just take them out totally since supposidly our trannys have internal stops!
