Adjusting feel of the clutch for 6-speed on '97 SS?

I just got my clutch replaced in a '97 SS last week. When I first got it back from the shop, the pedal felt a lot lighter than it did before. I had to go back in on Monday to replace my brake master cylinder too. At any rate, I mentioned the difference in the clutch since the repair, so the mechanic did something to make it stiffer (or heavier) again, but now it feels to heavy, and I think I liked the lighter feel better. Anybody know what he did, and how can I reverse it?
