Probably the best place to start would be by posting in the "Drivetrain" forum.... , not on LT1/LT4 Engine Tech". I'll move it there for you.

Well, first thing you are gonna need all the parts:
I dont have a complete list with me but you are gonna need at least:
T-56 transmission
Clutch
Shifter
Interior panel
Flywheel
Pedal
A wire harness i think
Pcm or programming
IF you have a 2.73 rearend, you may want to get different gears

Most likely gonna run you more than 1000$ and you have to look around the net for someone selling it. Local sales would be nice if possible so check your local listing.

Once you get the parts its a matter of taking the 4l60e out and installing the t-56 parts with a few minor modifications to the car.

Yea, something like what the above said. Just get ready to be on your back and stomach alot. Dont let the wiring scare you off. Look in the for sale section or even do a search in the for sale section and look for t56's. Hopefulyl you can find someone parting out complete conversion. They usually run about 1300-1500 for the whole thing. Its a great mod and you'll love it when you get it done.

I did mine for around $1500 total.

Follow the guide above.

Check out the "for sale" section for good deals.
