When I'm cruising, regardless of what speed, and i put it to the boards, it only downshifts one gear. It used to be 2 gears and it would slam my head into the back of the seat. Now it feels like a turd. I've never heard of this before...

 

sounds like a valve body issue...but i AM NOT any sort of an expert on transmissions...this should really be in the "drivetrain" forum. Talk to Frank at CPT, if you got the money, you wont have any trouble anymore

 

Shifts up and down on a 4l60e are electronically controlled. Likley theres a possible sensor issue perhaps the TPS
