'99 10-bolt (w/TCS) work in '96 f-body (w/TCS)?
I came across a deal and was wondering if a 10-bolt rear-end out of a '99 SS (w/TCS) will fit into a '96 TA (w/TCS) without any hardware/wiring modifications? My stock rear-end is on it's last leg and being that I can't afford a 12-bolt at the moment I'm looking at used rears. Anyone know if this will bolt right up?

The 98 - up LS1 rears that had TCS and ABS are a little different than the 97's and prior. The difference is the sensors for an ABS/TCS car are at the end of each axle on the 98 - up cars as opposed to our rears that read from the reluctor gear inside the differential housing wether it is just ABS or ABS/TCS. The rear would physically work fine but I've heard it's a problem with the ABS/TCS sensors, they will likely not work with your cars ABS/TCS system. A 98 up car with just ABS uses the same sensor in the housing as a 97 and older with just ABS, you may want to look for one like that. I found this out when did some checking before I picked up a complete rear from an 01 TA last year. I picked it dirt cheap for a spare for mine but ended up reselling it to someone else that needed it.
