97 corvette t56 fit in lt1 camaro?

That's an LS1 car, so I know the bellhousing wouldn't bolt up. LS1's use a different master/slave cylinder setup. I wouldn't think it would work (even if you used your stock bellhousing). I think other things are different, too, but I'm not sure.

There are issues just trying to swap between LT1 / LS1, let alone from a C5!!! They use a "trans-axle", so it definitely WON'T work!! Just search around ... you'll find an LT1 T56 and it'll make things MUCH, MUCH easier for you! Is your current one broken, or are you doing a swap or something? Why not get yours rebuilt? (probably cheaper and more effective in the long run).

Perhaps you could answer a question my buddy and I were talking about the other day. On a C5, the clutch is still bolted to the flywheel on the back of the ENGINE, correct? But what about an auto ... is the converter bolted to the engine as well, or is it in the "bellhousing" of the tranny at the back?
