700r4 to Turbo 350/400 conversion

Killed my 700r in three passes at the local track last night. Would I be better of swapping a turbo 350 or a turbo 400 into my Z instead of rebuilding the 700r again. If I go with the t400 what changes have to be made to get it to fit a 1993 Z-28. Im running a 355 with lt4 hotcam, full exhaust system, intake system and msd ignition. what will hold up best and not kill my wallet?

It should be possible for a well built 700R4 to stand up to a 355/HOT cam/intake/exhaust, if that's all that's done to it. Check the board sponsors.

I just ordered a 700R4 Punisher from this company. Check out the site. I paid $1300 with the converter and will hold up tp 550HP. If you already have a good converter you could just order the tranny for $1015.http://www.maddog-transmissions.com/ Or you can get the Godfather 700R at $695 to handle up to 400HP. They also sell the 4L60E for about the same price for your 1993. Or did the 93 come with a 700?

a 93 has the 4l60 in there its not a 700R and its not a 4l60E its a cross breed between them both, its not electroicly shifted but yet it has sensors in there to tell the computer what its doing so it knows how to set the fuel trim,

as far as swapping them a 400 you need

shifter
converter
crossmember I used a BMR one spohn does make a spacer block that you can use on a T56 crossmember I have one for sale if needed the block and crossmember
drive shaft
dip stick (Igot mine from madman racing)
reluctor ring and pick up for the speedo (GM parts direct)
and a tune for the trans to pull the auto codes out of there and set the air fuel tables diffrent sence the computer cant adjust for what it dont know
