what is the naem fo rthe 5spd trans in an 88 IROC 305 TPI car, I see everyons say T-56 but then see 6 Spd, so what are the 5 SPDs

Ok T-5 is whats in this car?? Now when i see anything on the T-5 guys are always talking about the mustangs. I did have someone suggest a T-45 could this be it??

 

A T45 is the 5-speed tranny used in the 96-01 Mustangs.

The T45 was used in these applications:

Borg Warner T5 light-duty, 5-speed transmission:

-AMC / Eagle 1982-1985
-Jeep from 1982-87
-General Motors 1983-95
-Nissan 1982-1986

Tremec bought all the "T" tranny designs from Borg-Warner a few years ago.
