4L80E w/LT1 PCM

I have searched and only found info in one place on controlling a 4L80E with the stock LT1 PCM. It was on a Impala SS forum and the guy talked about the “B” solenoid working in reverse of the 4L60E solenoid. He used a relay to reverse voltage to the solenoid.

There was one other but it was on a LS1 truck. They moved some pins around and added in the front VSS and got a down load of some kind from HP Tuners.

It’s hard for me to believe that no one has conquered this swap.
Getting it in the car is not the problem.

Not to be an *** but I don’t need to hear how the level 10XRP super pro drag max 700R4/4L60E is $3000 cheaper and can handle anything the 4L80E can, I don’t care!

I’m looking for been there done that tech on controlling the 4L80E with the stock
LT1 PCM.

Thanks guys

Marry Christmas!

Tunercat, back in the summer, released another version of the definition file which changes the solenoid assignment to each range. Wire it up, and change the solenoid assignment, and your good to go.

That's great news about Tuner Cat.
Could you go into a little more detail about the wiring or point
me in the right direction for more info.

Thanks
