4L65E Front Support and Output shaft

I have got to get this 4L60E rebuilt soon, and I'm debating now whether I want to go with CPT "race" or "prorace" rebuild.

The only diff. I can see is the 4L65E components that go in the Pro Race.

At what power level are people breaking these components.

My current goal is low 11 second pass (maybe high 10?) at low 120 MPH traps... 1.4x-1.5x 60' times.

Converter will be still be a P.I. Vigilante, bumped up to a 3800-4000 stall.

I plan to spray, but the gearing I have in mind won't allow it anyways so I'm not sure if that's going to play a part for the time being.

This is kinda a question for Frank, but it's an "in general" question too.

We've seen output shafts break in 12 second cars. Anything pulling below 1.7X 60 ft. times NEEDS the 4L65E output shaft. Some get lucky without it. We've had 11.0 second cars running for 2 years without a hadened shaft. Of course that is what finally broke. That particular car was pulling 1.51 60 ft. times with the wheels 8" in the air.

Ok then.. I spoke to Matt (cmroz28) about it and as it turns out he has some of the 4L65E stuff in his that you built for him, so I'll roll with that.

What's your turnaround time lookin' like right now? And are ya plannin any of those $100 off specials anytime soon?

How about a "matt's tranny installer special?"
