I do have an earlier 700r4 core I was tempted to build but im not convinced it would handle the power im making let alone the new and improved engine im building,What are your thoughts?
I can't claim to have any 700's in 10 second cars. I'll have to let you know in the spring...LOL. If you checked my sig. you might have noticed I'm putting a very similar engine combination together that you have. I'm looking for high 9's on the bottle, and I plan on taking my 700 there with me

You guys would be surprised at how little it costs to ship a transmission UPS. I got one in today, from Central California. It cost less than $70 to ship it 3000 miles. I got one from Florida last week that cost $58 to ship.

alright 12SCNDZ if your 4l60e's are built so solid what kind of warranty do you offer with them? cause i dont know anyone that has put serious power behind a 4l60e without either paying a load of cash or having it die. most 4l60's i've seen advertised are only rated to like 575-600 hp and cost around 2500. and to the guy who commented about that dude on trucks putting the gv in, if your being sarcastic thats not where i got my information from thanks.

The stock GV unit will handle 1200 hp.

I have one behind a 4l60e as a 5th gear for my A4 w 3.73's.
It's great as an OD but impractical to use to split the lower gears. You have to manually shift the gears in conjunction with turning the GV on and off.

Nothing in our transmissions In stock form...sun shell, and reaction input hub (front support). We upgrade both of these. The sun shell is included in all our $1000 rebuilds, but the front support is a $225 option. It includes 3 pieces that are all from the 4L65E.

You mostly see repeated burnt 2-4 bands and 3-4 clutches in high RPM 60E's. Fortunately, we have the solution to keep them alive in racing applications.
