to all lou short stick owners

now i've searched over and over and this question is always half and half
but...for you lss OWNERS
do you guys think a shifter is really neccessary with this stick?
like maybe if you had a pro 5.0 or something, it'd be easier to hit that 2-3 shift rather than with the stock shifter, or a stock hurst?
just seeing if you guys are happy with a stock or stock hurst shifter with an lss, and don't see then need for a shifter
thanks

Re: to all lss owners

I know you're looking for owners of the lou's, which i don't own, but i do have some experience with it. One of my friends had the lou's stick (on a 95 formula) with the stock shifter and said it was ok. One day he drove my car and loved the pro5.0, which he went out and bought one soon there after. I drove his car once with the lss and stock shifter, and it was better than stock, but still not as accurate or "confident" feeling as the 5.0 shifter. And soon after getting the pro5.0 he added a lou's stick and it was even better.

I guess, if you can, find a local with an aftermarket shifter and see if they'll let you drive it. It's hard to describe what it feels like, you just have to see for yourself. I definitely like it better than any stock setup.
