Question 4l60e symptoms

I have a 1994 z28 with a 4l60e. The only aftermarket parts are a magnaflow cat back, moroso cold air intake, and msd billet optispark unit. My trans has a few very annoying problems i hope one of the tranny guys can help me with. First, there is no engine braking on decel unless it is in overdrive (I assume this is because the convertor is locked up in overdrive which provides the engine braking effect). Is there a common problem with any particular seal or hardpart on the over run clutch pack? Also I get a slight flare shift on my 1 to 2 upshift...nothing terrible, but not nearly as "tight" as it should be. The last I only noticed after installing the magnaflow exhaust..???... On wide open throttle, the engine will actually bounce off of the rev limiter 2-3 times before shifting if i don't back off the throttle slightly. The first two issues have been present for the last 15K miles, so I don't beleive it is anything catastrophic. I am willing to do a rebuild myself ( I work on Merceds Benz vehicles for a living) if that's all it needs. Any input you tranny experts have would be great....if your recommending a rebuild, whose rebuild kits or parts do you recommend. Thanks in advance for any help you might offer.

This sounds like you're beginning to see internal problems. One of them is definitely in your over-run clutch area.

Thanks for the support. It's nice to have such a positive customer following. It took us a while to earn the great reputation we have. We treat all of our customers as our friends, and we also give them the best products available.
We've been continually rated the best on our transmission reputation, our prices, and our customer service.
