4L60E: On last leg?

So basically, my 4l60e at full throttle has been pulling to about 4 grand and then free-revving the rest of the way, the less throttle you give it the more you feel it resisting and finally just 'letting go' of it's hold on the power. When it does this you can also feel a vibration coming from shifter, unless you are WOT since it happens so quick.

Also, if you give it just the right amount of throttle so it does shift at higher rpms (4500-4700) , the vibration will be in the shifter while it slowly decreases rpm into the next gear, where it is back to normal again.

Thanks for the help guys, I truly appreciate any.

Yeah, it does sound like it is on it's way out. There are a lot of good builders on this site that can help you out though...
