4l60e code po753, can i repair this??

My wifes daily driver 2000 set the engine lite, seems to start in 2nd gear and very soft shifts-- used my hyper tech tuner to check code po0753,some research turned up "solenoid A electrical" I seem to understand there are 2 solenoids under the pan.can I be lucky enough that that is the only problem?? I would like to replace them both[I hear they are 20-25 bucks a piece] Is there anything "special" about doing this?? can someone reccommend a manual and supplier possibly a contributor of the board I can purchase them from?? I own a 67 and 72 'z' I'm used to twisting wrenches on them.I'm a bit intimidated by the "new"stuff as I'm an old fart and old school .thanks to all and any help/tips appreciated!!!Steve!!
