4 series axles on a 3 series

will axles out of a 4 series rear (with the reluctor rings on the axles) work on a 3 series rear that doesn't have the rings on the axles? My set up has the reluctor inside the housing.

Do I need to change the dust plate inboard of brake disc's or anything?

Thanks
John

Do you mean "will axles out of a 4-channel rear (with the reluctor rings on the axles) work on a 3-channel rear that doesn't have the rings on the axles?"

Or are you looking at something like a 12-bolt, that actually houses a 4-series or a 3-series carrier?

Stock for stock, I have a 3 series rear with a bad axle. I had an option to get a set of 4 series axles and wanted to know if they would work on my 3 series stock rear. Would they fit since they have the reluctor rings on the inside of the flange?

Thanks
John
