4.10 and a 4l60e
4.10 and a 4l60e
i didnt do my homework and installed 4.10s on my 4l60e 95 .it seems ok other than shifting into o.d. at 900'-1000'. the 1/8 is mean and the stop light racing is great.anyone else running this setup? p.s. car runs high 12's on a 100 shot with mods listed.
uhm you should run mid 12s maybe even low 12s-high elevens with a great 60ft on motor.... especially if u have an 847 and ported heads...
something is seriously wrong with ur car if youre running high 12s on a 100 shot

I am confused as well, for high 12's you shouldn't be carrying enough RPM with 4.10s to shift into 4th with the stock rev limit, if you are running the 847 you should be atleast spinning it to 6000+ depending on supporting mods so that would force a shift at around 112ish MPH and those are low 12's, high 11's kinda MPH. But if this is the case the simple solution for you would be 28" tires, but the numbers are not adding up...
please tell me that is on a snow tire or something
please post everything on the timeslip so we can figure out what is wrong to give you some help

You re-programmed your computer, right? The tables for shifting are both based on RPM's and MPH- the computer needs accurate MPH to shift correctly-
Even with 4.10's I wouldn't think you would be hitting O.D. until maybe 100 or so- My Caprice/LT1 with 4.10's used to shift into 3rd around 70, =/-, and chirp the tires if I was on it- perfect for merging onto freeways!
