do you mean the actual Diff....if so then no...

I think it is an aburn cone style......once it goes it junk, contact auburn they used to do exchanges long ago.

Don't mess with the Eaton's they are junk, I had good luck with a zexel. I ran it for about 2 years, but that was in like 2000 I don't know if you can even find them now...SLP used to sell the take outs for around $75

And my experience is just the opposite. The Torsen that came stock in my 2000 Formula totally burnt up drag racing. I put in an Eaton HD and ran mid 12s down to low elevens with it for 3 years. Sold the whole assembly when I went to a 4.10 spooled 12 bolt. The Eaton HD worked flawlessly and still is.

You can repair the auburn, there was an oldsmobile guy on the web had a good write up on it but i cant find it right now. he machined the inner races of where the cone bites then used washers to increase the preload. but thats back yard riggory, get an eaton w/ 400lb preload springs and the new carbon fiber clutches. you wont be sorry.

ps. DO NOT USE SYNTH oil in the rear with a clutch style posi. normal dino oil with additive is what is suggested.

I had that eaton...installed it...took it out on the street on street tires and it busted a driver side spider, called they overnighted another......That one busted too, on street tires. Sent it back got my money back and got a Zexel, it lasted about 200 passes with a 4.10 6 sp. DR's 4500 dumps, and 1.70 average 60'

They did have a batch of over hardened side gears back in the late 90s early 2000s don't remember exactly when, a buddy got a bad one back then too but his replacement was fine.
I got mine in late 02 and installed it in a rear from a 6 speed car so that I would have 3.42s with my auto. Ran high 1.6s with my bolt on LS1 the rest of that season then went heads and cam with 1.5x 60s for a couple of hundred more passes.
I think that they have the problem fixed. The sweet thing is that when the clutches get worn and the springs get weak they are rebuildable. No other posi for the 7.5'' 10 bolt is rebuildable.
