2600-2800 stall not enough?

Hey guys I have a quick question. Will a 2600-2800 be to small for the cc306 cam? I know a 3000 would work best. But I want to know if the 2600-2800 would still be ok?

I had a 2800 stall and it seemed too tight. Went to a 3500 after riding in a friend's car and I like it. I thought it would be too much for the street, but it's fine. And I don't have as much cam as you do.

What gears are you running? That will have a major impact. But in general, I agree with David that you may want a higher stall with a CC306. Mine stalls at 4,200 and it's drivable, though I wouldn't want to drive it a lot in heavy traffic.

If you go for a higher stall it becomes really important to have a good cooler. A larger finned pan isn't a bad idea either if you do a lot of stop and go driving.

currently runing 3.73's. And its my daily driver, so i was looking towards the 2500-2800, so its more streetable, plus it wont kill tractiom to bad. Whatcha think? I could always go bigger right?

I run 3.73s and a TCI breakaway converter which is about 2600 to 2800 and traction is still a problem even with a drag launch kit, BMR TA, and 275 Nittos.
I have some BMR relocation brackets that I am going to install with some BMR boxed LCAs and see if it helps.

With 3.73's for a street setup I think you are on the right track.

I had a local shop beef up my 4L60E when they rebuilt it and installed a Trans Go shift kit.
This cold weather don,t help but second gear will lay a pretty nice patch.
I also am thinking about going to a 28 inch tire since I have alot of fender gap in the rear with the drag launch kit.
