1994 Z-28 Shifting Problems With My t-56

OK guys i need some help and suggestions.. im the original owner, my car is 94 z-28 with 6speed t-56 the car has 340,000 km on it yeah i know high mileage car....so heres the deal...My clutch release bearing went on me and destroyed the master cylinder along with it..so i bought a clutch kit and had my mechanic put it in..but now im having a serious issue with the car wanting to get in gear....i have to almost force it into 1rst gear at a red light...and its almost impossible to get it into reverse gear....evan while im driving and i go to switch gears the car doesnt want to switch gears..its like somethings blocking the stick shift from getting into that next gear....but i did notice i have to almost drive it like a Tractor trailer and match the rpms with gears...when i go to downshift i have to blip the throttle in order for it to slide into that lower gear...Im taking it theres something going on my t-56 now??? or could it be the new clutch????

Unless you've done a major engine swap, you have an LT1, and should be posting on LT1 Based Engine Tech. Let me know if you want this moved there.

Not sure how the T/O bearing would damage the master cylinder..... do you mean slave cylinder?

it could also be the clutch plates being mounted wrong, and the clutch never fully disengages. try putting the car on a level surface, putting the transmission in 1st, pushing the clutch in, and raise the revs a bit. see if the car moves.
