12 bolt problem-ring and pinion maybe?

well i got my car in the air and wiggled the driveshaft and it wiggled pretty bad towards the rear. what do you guys think it is? it kinda locks up when i'm driving really slowly or when i'm limping it into the garage. did i break my ring or pinion? what else could it be? what else needs to be done in order to fix this? if it is the ring and pinion what gears should i get?

Thanks!

If you can wiggle the back of the driveshaft up and down you have a bad pinion bearing. If it binds when you are trying to limp it into the garage then get it towed somewhere where you can get it fixed. Don't try driving it.
