12 bolt or 9 Inch?

I dont know which one to go with? I went to moser web site and found that "bolt in" 9 inch with torque arm braket pkg is $920. Im asuming this is without the actuall gears or 3rd member. Or there is the GM "F" Body Housing WITH Torque Arm Brkt $585/ea. Also if i get a 9 inch will my breaks line back up or is there special brakets that I need?

Or the 12 bolt which is Complete 12 Bolt w/Eaton Posi (less brakes) Mono or Multi-Leaf Cars (Includes 12 Bolt Housing, M/E Custom Alloy Axles, wheel bearing, wheel studs, retainer plates, Eaton Posi (30 spline), Pro Street gears, 1350 series pinion yoke, chrome cover and assembly) for $1900.

Im having trouble, pretty much if i went with the 9 inch i would need everything but the gears itself (3rd member same thing?) That would seem cheaper to me because I have a friend thats has acess to the gears. Let me know what some of you guys think, Thanks.

9 inch is a little cheaper to build. I just built one for my t/a I used an old housing narrowed it and installed a spool M/E axels and used the housing ends from M/E that allow the use of the stock brakes. The brake lines bolt to the control arm brackets in the back, mine were still there as I used my factory brackets .It wouldnt be to bad if you bought the housing package and found a used center section and new gears you could walk away with as little as 1300 into it.Dont forget you also need a new drive shaft and im not sure about the abs as im not using mine.
