12 Bolt

I Am Looking Into Getting A 12 Bolt And I Was Wanting To Know If There Is Any Major Difference Between The Major Brands Like Currie, Strange, Mosser, Dana, Etc. Like Fit Up, Price, Break Fit Up, And Durability. Thanks For Your Time!

I would go with a STRANGE unit.A lot of people got it(so do i) and its perfect.

-Strange made very good 12 bolts.I heard more problem coming from moser.
-They come fully tested and assembled. The Moser come in parts so you need to assembled it.
-Also the torque mount is just like a stocker. The t/a mount is not as good on a moser.
-The axle tube are the same size has the stocker so no modification required

I remember reading Inuneer reply about the discussion : 9 " vs 12 bolts.

The 12 bolts is lighter, have less power loss and for 1000hp or lower a 12 bolts is perfect. If you plan on going over 1000hp go with a 9"

The strange 12-Bolt is a quality replacement rear-end for an F-Body and you can buy them direct from Strange. Ask for Ed in sales, he is a great guy to deal with.

I got the 33 spline axles w/o C-Clips and 1350 Yoke with my 12-bolt. However, I'm not completey sure my rear-end has the "Super Strength" posi unit. I plan to change the gear lube today and determine which posi I have. The Super Strength posi is also an option you would probably want to get.

Sounds Like Strange Is The Way To Go. How Much Did You Guys Pay For Your 12 Bolt? Do You Have A Website For Strange? Thanks, Ryan!

I dont know if you re in a rush but they are on sale sometime, check in the "Vendor Forum" or on any other f-body site like ls1tech.

I ve bought mine from T-Byrne Motorsport:

Fully assembled and dyno tested rearend.3.150"ID housing ends,33spline S/S
axle,1/2 stud,33splines Super Strength posi unit.I also bought the LPW preloads cap cover.

I ve paid 2169.99$ for the unit wich is the lowest i ever seen on the market(could be wrong).

Here is a photo of my Strange 12-Bolt posi unit. So, is this one the "standard" or the "super strength" unit? The rear-end is only about two months old, got it in March.

I ve bought mine last year so if yours is only 2 month old i would think that it is a HD but im not gonna lie to you,im enough qualify to tell you if you have a HD in your pic

You bought it directly from Strange?
How much did you pay for it?
Also whats is the part number on your bill?

These 3 question should answer if you have an HD .But JIM BUSCHMAN a tech engineer at Strange told me that all the new 12 bolts are coming now with th HD and he told me this last year...

Turn your "caps lock" off. It screws up the board software, and causes it to capitalize the first letter of each word, making you post look sort of odd.
