10" corvette wheels
Re: 10" corvette wheels
The stock rear wheels on a 2000 C5 were 18x10.5 with a 58mm offset. That offset will give you about 8.0" backspace, which is a tad too much for the back of a 4th Gen F-Body. You will have even greater problems than the people using 17x11 ZR1/GS offset wheels. Spacers may be required.
It will be even worse in the front, where you need to limit the backspace even more.
There are 18x9.5" 65mm offset repro versions, and they only have a 7.75" backspace, which is more F-Body friendly.
To my knowledge, no C5 Corvette ever had an 18x10.0" wheel. All of them were x.5

Re: 10" corvette wheels
The 1999 18x9.5" factory C5 wheels are 61mm offset, 7.60" backspace. They will be OK in the back. In the front, its going to be close, but it might just make it. I run 17's with a 7.4" backspace and they are very close to the steering knuckle, but with the 18's, the knuckle may have curved back just enough to clear the edge of the rim.
Re: 10" corvette wheels
i put the rims on last night, and they cleared pretty good. but i havn't bought tires.... the size that came on the vette was 275/40 r18's... won't that be too big? or will my speedo still be correct?
