Vince McCauley has the fastest NA LT1 right now....9.93@135 going thru the traps backwards (wrecked the car). Obviously it has alot more in it.

Steve Quinn and Joe Overton are in the low low 10s and will be in the 9s soon.

All VERY impressive cars!

Do you happen to know what Vince McCauley had done? When and where did he run?

By the way, that is very impressive. I want to run a 9.93 backwards. hehe

Did he total his car, I hope not.

Jason he did it forward but Sammy Vedros from South Louisiana ran 9.81 134 with a 1.29 shortime in his 396 LT1 NA. Car is still not sorted out its hitting revlimiter at 1200 ft. With that fixed and good weather I'm looking fo 9.50's or 60's. I run what I believe to be one of the fastest stockhead, stockbottomend,na Lt1's I ran 11.66. Frank95z

Vince has a 383 LT1 (carbed) motor, AFR 22x heads, solid roller built by Fast Times in Chicago.

I heard Sammy was running well, but I didnt know he was going that well That is impressive!

Frank, *shrug* I dont know.....Vince has been a good friend of mine for years, he said Billy spun before the traps. ???

i dont feel like digging up his old post but apparently the car hit some a slick spot on the track and it spun around, hit the wall, flipped over and went through the traps backwards

the car was salvaged i know that, but i dont know what needed to be fixed

Frank,

You have quite a way to go before you have the fastest stock head/bottom end LT-1.

No offence meant.

Best Regards,

Daren

Im pretty sure Gump is referring to the NHRA Super Stockers. They run some killer ET's with "stock heads/cam" and longblock

I'm thinking Angelo DiTocco with his SS/JA Firebird that just set a nat'l et record at the Dutch Classic. He went a 10.00 @ 131.68.
Knew just watching that run it was on a pass. Very sweet looking ride as well.

I said one of the fastest. And I'm talking air conditioned, stock heads (like never been off the car),stock bottomend, street car. I've worked on NHRA stocker heads before and If you think they are stock. I'll say the fast ones are not stock I promise. I know for sure that the SS/JA that was mentioned do not have stock heads. Daren how quick did you run with stockheads na or who do you know that has run quicker than 11.60's na. I'm just curious. Tell us a bit about you're combo. Frank95z

Frank95z,

Projectz28 is not to far from you. He is doing 11.80's all day with salad shooters. His motor is stock except for cam. Right down to the stock tb. Stock suspension too. 10 bolt rear also. He's working on tuning now and will be hitting some low numbers. The heads on the car have never been touched. You maybe one of the fastest but there is alot of guys running them numbers.
