Thumbs down Whole Day Funked Up!

Spent the whole day installing rear wheel line lock. THOUGHT I had it done! Got the MRS. to pump brakes whilst I bleed rear.
Had her start once to hold brakes. Much smoke in engine compartment. Root cause was leaking flare on end of inlet into anti-lock. **** on it, the biutch can sit there tomorrow and I'll get back on it next week.

QUESTION: Do both front and rear brakes need bleeding if ONLY rear brake line was off for a short time? Did not run cylinder out of fluid so that is no issue.

Most of day was figuring out how to wire in 4 wheel locks into current 2 wheel system and 2 step. Jeez!!

Exclamation

If master cylinder was never run out of fluid. Then you should only have to bleed the half of the system that you broke into.
Are you and Derty related? You guys have more bad luck.....I hope it goes better next week.

There's 3 ways to do it.
1. go and buy a double flare tool.
2. take the line to Al's house and have him do it.
3. have Al come over and flare it for you.

Your choice.

OR...

Get a spare brake line from a junk yard and splice into it using stainless steel Swagelok fittings and forget about all the 'double flare' crap
