Who has the fastest LTx f-body??
Re: Who has the fastest LTx f-body??
I hope he is back in the game:

He said in the other "bad boy" thread that he was moving up to another class, so the LT1 had to go in favor of something stronger.
It would be great to have the fastest LT1 faster than the fastest LS1

I dont know how much longer Rick's keeping that thing an LT1, he has a nasty little SBC for it that should be real bad nasty. Ricks never broke a block, ist always been bearings, the blocks have always held the power.

But then as was pointed out to me in a recent thread on ls1tech, Ronnie Dukes record was not only broken but it was shattered.

Labor day 1996?
How did they get a factory LSx iron block back then? I thought that LS1 came out with the intro of the C5... and the iron block versions didn't come out until 99 with the updated trucks. Either something's wrong with this picture or i've really missed something somewhere.
Anyone care to explain?

This is actually the best article I could find on the car/run. It's got alot more technical info and a few good motor pics. Up until a week ago I thought Ronnie Dukes run was still the time to beat. For some reason Mikes run got very little internet attention. But there it is in black and white, go figure.
