What wheels/tires to run in open Diffy racing?

Hey gusy I was thinking of hitting the track again as soon as I replace plugs and wires, my wires are already in the mail.

Right now these are the wheels I have...

-4 17x9.5s zr1s, 275/40/17 Kuhmo 712s
-4 16x8 factory rims, 235/40/16 Eagle GAs, mostly bald, 1 or 2 tires have a teeny bit of tread other too are smooth

-alright this is another possibility(not sure if these fit yet)... a set of 16X? "premium" '00 Cavalier Z24 rims... 205/??/16

My thoughts are run the z24 rims up front(if they fit), and on the left rear, and maybe a Zr1, on the right rear.

What are your guy's suggestions? just try and tough it out on the 16x8s...(I wouldn't mind better 60's, I did manage a few 2.1s..) Or should I try something with the Zr1 wheels?

I know they are heavier, and have more rotational and frictional mass...

any opinions on this? Not looking to buy a set of drag lites either...

drag radials andslicks are not an option...

should I run the 16x8s with balder 235s, or 17x9.5s with 275s...

I was able to cut a 2.1 on the balder tires...

They are pretty new actually just really big and weigh alot.

I never weighed the diference but its very obvious, and I get more frictional contact with the groudn with them....

when I run I usually run right rear a good pressure, the left rear about 6 lbs. higher and the fronts really high... and I cut nearly .1 off my times.... over if I have all my tires at 32 psi...

the new rims and tires made such a differenct that I really noticed a big difference just pushing my car through teh staging lanes...

OMG. If I see you at the track with ANY cavalier wheels on your car, let alone 1 on the rear, I'm going to have to bitch slap you...

Just run the ZR1s all around. There isn't going to be enough of a difference.

lol...

last time I did that, I lost abotu .2-.3, and 2mph...

I noticed a big difference pushing my car around, way heavier then my 3.4L or 3.8L ever was but only difference was the zr1s...

besides the Cavalier wheels don't lok that bad They are premium alloys

I was debating runing my zr1s or my stockers with GAs
