What tire pressure should I be running?

I'm using a set of m/t et streets(not the radials), and I was wondering who's had luck with these, and what psi do you run them on? So far I've only been able to cut 1.9 60's, but I know with some practice i'll be able to bring that down.

Try 14.5 cold. Everybody has opinions, but I do not check tire pressure when they are hot. I time my burnouts to be as close to the same each time and actually I run between 13.5 and 14 in mine, but everyone's suspension if different. Use the same tire gauge each time so if it is off a little bit it won't matter as the difference between readouts will always be the same.

I check my slick pressure (ET Streets 26" x 11.5) just before each run while in the staging lanes. On a very hot day, between rounds pressure can easily climb 2 PSI, or drop on cold days. Also, you can have the issue of one slick in the hot sun and the other in the shade, which can cause several PSI difference between sides.

With my ET Streets, I typically run between 14.5 and 13.5 PSI depending on the track conditions. After the first 100 feet or so, low pressure is rolling resistance and possible control problems on the top end.

I appreciate the responses guys. I only ran 14psi once, and the car was swaying pretty good on the top end and after each shift, and I wasn't sure if that was normal, so I upped the pressure. Guess I'll drop it back down some and try again.

The burn-out should clean them off and get them hot and they will hold if the track prep is good. Do the same burn-out each time. I have a line-lock on the front brakes which allows me to really heat-up the slicks then I release the line-lock continuing the burn-out, then let off. Don't dry-hop on the way to staging.
