Turbo 350 swap question

I have a 93 Z/28 that I'm building for bracket racing. I'm using a Turbo 350 trans. I have a Spohn Torque arm so that's not a problem, but the stock crossmember and tranny mount does not line up. I could have sworn I read somewhere that the stock A4 crossmember from the 4L60e would work with a Turbo 350. Was the 700R4 crossmember different from the 4L60e? Am I missing something else?

You need the crossmember from a T56 car, and some people use a 1-1/2" spacer also to get the angles correct.

the 4l60e crossmember and a custom spacer is usually used. i dont know if the 4l60e and 700r4 crossmembers are that much different. people use the t56 crossmember for th400 swaps. another option would be to get the bmr crossmember for the th350.

The TH350 rear mount sits 2" forward from the A4 mount. Weld a mounting pad extension onto the crossmember and drill some new holes in it.

BMR has a bolt in cross member that is quite nice. You can also use a factory automatic crossmember and the trans mount from the B & M kit for a 1982-92 F-body.
